The Unit is open to any adult member of The Scout Association. We welcome seasoned media professionals, those who want to increase their skills, get experience or are just starting out.
When you join the Unit we will ask you to provide a link to a website showcasing some of your work. This is not a test, but just to help us understand where you would fit into an event team. Instagram, Flickr or YouTube are fine. Joining the Unit costs £25.00 – this is a one-off joining fee of £15 to cover the Unit Scarf, badge and joining admin costs, plus an annual subscription of £10. Please note: The Unit does not supply equipment or insurance to members.
